The event was organized by Governor of Pattani Fatimah Sadiyamu with the cooperation of a number of governmental institutions and Muslim organizations of southern Thailand.
The march began at the town’s stadium and concluded at the central mosque.
At the mosque, the prayer leader delivered a speech in which he highlighted the virtues and sublime character of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
It was aimed at demonstrating Muslims’ love for the last messenger of God, promoting the teachings and Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and learning from the example of the Prophet (PBUH) in serving the society and loving fellow human beings.
The march is set to be organized every year in the lunar Hijri month of Rabi al-Awwal, in which falls the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) birth anniversary.
